Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 July 2026
These terms govern your use of LocalOnly, a free collection of privacy-first developer tools that run entirely in your browser.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using LocalOnly at https://localonly.dev(the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to every visitor and user of the site.
2. Description of the service
LocalOnly provides a set of developer utilities - such as JSON formatting, validation, conversion, and inspection, along with dozens of related tools - that are free to use and run 100% in your browser. There is no backend, no database, and no login. All processing of the data you paste, type, or open happens locally on your own device using standard browser APIs. We do not receive, transmit, or store the content you work with.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service responsibly. In particular, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Introduce malware, or use automated means to scrape or abuse the site in a way that degrades it for others.
- Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party while using the tools.
4. No warranties ("as is")
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that the results obtained from using any tool will be accurate or reliable.
5. Tool accuracy and user responsibility
The tools are provided for convenience. You are solely responsible for verifying any output before relying on it. Because everything runs locally, results depend on your browser and the input you provide. Do not use the Service as your only source of truth for critical work. Please also review our Disclaimer for details on the limits of what these tools can guarantee.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalOnly and its maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages - including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption - arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Third-party services and advertising
LocalOnly may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve and personalize ads and to measure their performance. We do not control the content of third-party ads and do not endorse any advertiser. For details on the cookies involved and how to opt out, see our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property and copyright
The LocalOnly name, logo, site design, text, and original code are the property of LocalOnlyand are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the site's branding or original content without permission. Full details are set out in our License.
9. License to use
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own personal or professional development work, free of charge. Any output you generate from your own input belongs to you.
10. Third-party software
LocalOnly is built using third-party software components that are licensed to us, each distributed under its own license. Those licenses continue to govern the respective components; nothing in these terms overrides them.
11. Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. We may also restrict access if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms. Because the Service is browser-based and account-free, you can stop using it at any time simply by closing the site.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the courts of India.
