Our commitment

LocalOnly aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences. Accessibility is treated as a core requirement of every tool we build, not an afterthought.

Keyboard navigation

All tools and interactive controls are designed to be operable with a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse or touch input. We provide:

• Logical, predictable tab order through interactive elements.
• Visible focus indicators so you always know which element is active.
• A skip-to-content link so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass repeated navigation.

Screen reader support

We build with semantic HTML so that headings, lists, buttons, and form controls are announced correctly by assistive technology. Where native semantics are not sufficient, we add ARIA labels, roles, and states to communicate the purpose and status of custom components. We test key flows with screen readers to confirm they are understandable.

Color and contrast

Text and essential interface elements are designed to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios in both our light and dark themes. We avoid using color as the only means of conveying information, pairing it with text, icons, or shape where meaning matters.

Semantic structure and landmarks

Pages use a clear heading hierarchy and landmark regions such as header, nav, main, and footer. This lets assistive technology users navigate efficiently by region and heading rather than reading everything linearly.

Motion and theme preferences

The site respects your operating system settings. If you enable reduced motion, we minimize or remove non-essential animations. We also honor your system color scheme, defaulting to light or dark to match your preference.

Resizable text and zoom

The layout is responsive and built with relative units, so you can zoom the page or increase your browser or system font size without content being clipped, overlapping, or becoming unusable.

Known limitations and ongoing work

Some advanced tools rely on a rich code editor whose behavior can differ slightly across assistive technologies, and complex data visualizations may not yet expose every detail to screen readers. We are actively working to improve these areas and to broaden our testing across more assistive technologies and browsers. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we review it as the product evolves.
