Curated highlights of the most notable releases of LocalOnly, written for humans.
Version 1.0.0 is the first stable, public release of LocalOnly - and it marks the moment the project became a complete, dependable toolkit rather than a promising experiment. If you have ever pasted sensitive JSON into a random online formatter and then wondered where it went, this release is for you.
LocalOnly ships with 37 developer tools - JSON formatting, validation and inspection, encoders and decoders, generators, and format converters - all in one fast, consistent interface. The whole app is an installable Progressive Web App, so it keeps working with no connection, and every tool runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload, no account, and no tracking of what you process.
Most convenient web tools quietly send your input to a server. That is fine for a to-do list and a real problem for API keys, customer data or internal payloads. LocalOnly removes the risk at the root: there is no backend to receive your data, so there is nothing to leak, log or subpoena. Privacy is not a feature bolted on - it is the reason the app is built the way it is.
1.0 is a foundation, not a finish line. We are working toward more converters and encoders, local-only sharing links, additional export formats and broader language support. See the Roadmap for the plan, or the full changelog for the complete, version-by-version detail.
